I love teaching people how to art! Literally one of my favorite things to do.

I offer ongoing private and group art lessons for adults and kids age 10+ at my home studio in Fishers Creek (East Vancouver, WA).

Supplies are included as part of the classes and my times are flexible.

Private Art Lessons

Private art lessons are $30 for a half hour class. If you are not sure you want to go it alone, you can bring up to one friend for half the added cost. Same if you have multiple kids or a kid who would like to bring a friend.

We can do a one time lesson to learn that thing you always wanted to know how to do, or it can be ongoing.  (Like music lessons).

Group Art Lessons

I also offer 1 hour, ongoing, art classes for groups (minimum of 3 - Maximum of 8) at $25 per person.

Often, the way a class is formed is one person finds me through social media, grabs a bunch of friends/family who wants to take art lessons too, and then we schedule a time that works best for the group.

One Time Group Art Lesson

These classes are usually 2-3 hours long and we focus on a single technique or project. Cost is $45-$65 per person (minimum of 3 - Maximum of 8).

Below are some techniques and mediums you can choose from to focus the direction of your lessons, assuming you don’t have something already in mind.

Just email at tangledfaith@gmail.com , text (971-236-2798), or message me through messenger (tangled faith).

Techniques:

Optical Art :: Realistic Faces (Proportions of the face and Shading) :: Figure Drawing (Human Proportions) :: Micro and Macro in Nature (Landscapes) :: Perspective in Cityscapes (2 point Perspective) :: Room Perspectives (1 point perspective) :: Realistic Drawing Still Life (Shading and Tinting) :: Basic Cartooning (not anime… anime is different and out of my wheelhouse.) :: Mandalas and Zentangles :: Pouring (Paint technique)

Mediums:

Basic Watercolor (color theory+) :: Graphite and/or Ink (Hatching/Stipple/Make your mark) :: Hand Stitching (Make a goofy monster) :: Collage (The technique I use for most my personal art.) :: Basic Ink Printing

3 Dimensional Art:

Tunnel Books :: Abstract Sculptures

Other: Dramatic Drawing Compositions (Principles of Art)

For context, one of the many things I have done in my life was to teach middle school art for seven years. To say I loved it is an understatement.

Here are pics of my classroom and a bunch of student art. I wish I had thought to take more pictures over the years.
